Why resorting to toxic products to clean the oven rather than using a simple trick? You only need two ingredients: white vinegar and baking soda. Your health isn’t endangered and the toxic residues are no longer a concern.
After you have removed the grill of the oven, mix half a cup of baking soda with a few teaspoons of water until you get a thicker paste, so you can apply it on the oven with a plastic paddle or by hand.
Further, put inside the oven a thin layer of the baking soda paste – but beware, if you have electric oven, don’t apply it the heat elements. If the oven is very dirty, it will catch a slightly brownish color. Allow the mixture to stand overnight, then the next day clean the baking soda paste with a damp cloth.
Once you have managed to remove the baking soda, pour a little white vinegar in a sprayer and spray it inside of the oven – you must do it in this order to remove any traces of sodium bicarbonate in the oven (baking soda reacts with vinegar and makes a foam).
Remove the vinegar with a clean damp, and then wipe the inside of the oven one more time.
